Ports and Protocols Used by Microsoft SQL Server 2000


The following are some network ports and protocols used by Microsoft SQL Server 2000:

Clients using Named Pipes over Netbios TCP 139/445
Microsoft SQL Monitor port UDP 1434

Standard URL for a report server (Reporting Services) TCP 80 HTTP /443 SSL


**  If named instances of SQL Server are installed, each will listen on a different, user defined port instead of 1433
